How To Register for Electronic Payments
Electronic payment platforms like Venmo, CashApp, and Paypal are how people can tip you instantly and easily.
We suggest that you sign up for Venmo and/or CashApp, as they are the two more widely used platforms.
Creating a Venmo or CashApp account is extremely simple and fast. You can do it directly from your computer (Venmo only), or you can choose to download the apps on your smart phone and do it from there. There are two steps involved: 1) creating your account and 2) linking your payments (whether it be directly to your bank, or your debit card).
Venmo: You can click here to be taken to Venmo's sign-up page. From here, you will be taken through the steps to create an account. After your account is created and you have verified your email adress, you will be asked to link either a debit card or your bank (so you are able to deposit the money that you receive).

CashApp: You first must download the CashApp app on your smartphone. From there, you will be asked to create an account and connect it with your phone number. Similar to Venmo, you then will be asked to link your bank information so you can receive payments.

I've registered and created my accounts. Now what?
Now you are ready to receive payments! In order for people to send you money, they need to know your username. Luckily, both CashApp and Venmo make this very easy.
You can find your Cashapp username by going to your CashApp profile in the app. Your username will be the words following the "$" symbol. Example: $your_username.
Your Venmo username can also be found by going to your Venmo profile, but instead of a "$" symbol, there will be an "@" symbol (the "@" will only appear on the app, it will NOT appear on the website version of Venmo). Example: @your_username.
To make it even faster for people to find your accounts, we are asking you to submit them to FMBtipjar as direct website links. When submitting your payment information, you will need to submit it as either vemo.com/your_username or cash.app/$your_username. When you are on your profile page on both CashApp's and Venmo's websites, this will be the URL at the top of the page. You can copy and paste this into the submission form when you are asked for tipping methods.
